I am deeply honoured and humbled to stand before you today as the newly elected president of the IAOH for the term 2025-27. This moment is a testament to the trust and confidence you have placed in me and for that, I am very grateful.
First, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated members, office bearers and mentors who have tirelessly supported and guided me. Your encouragement and wisdom has been invaluable, and we promise to uphold the high standards you have set for us.
I would also like to acknowledge the outgoing committee for their hard work and dedication. Your efforts have laid a strong foundation for us, and we will strive to build upon it.
As we embark on this new journey, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and inspiring environment where everyone feels valued and heard. We will continue to explore new ideas, push our creative boundaries and bring memorable performance to IAOH fraternity.
As doctors it is our prime responsibility to be ready for any such challenges in the future like COVID 19 and HMPV Virus. All of you know that at present Mental health is one of the biggest challenges and we need togenerate maximum awareness in our society. We should also focus on overall health and wellbeing of the society.
This is our 75th Conference and we are celebrating 75 years of existence. IAOH was formed in 1948 by doctors who had great vision and dedication. I will try to continue this legacy. I will be part of this increasing standards and have a positive impact on our association and all the members. We will focus on membership drive and we will try to inspire more and more members to join our association during my presidency. I will ensure our association and our members to flourish during my tenure. We will focus on BOHS activity also and will see to it that more and more branches get involved in these activities.
I have had a very long association and held diverse positions in this Association over the past 23 years, starting from Secretary, Vice president, President of my Jamnagar Branch and Conference Secretary of OCCUCON 2019 and then moved towards National Office Bearer positions like Hon. General Secretary, Vice President and now National President of prestigious IAOH. I will try to follow in the footsteps of our seniors and will also help juniors to become future leaders.
During my Vice Presidentship, I had several opportunities to meet and network and this will help during my Presidentship. This association is a powerhouse of knowledge, and we will meet and share the knowledge.
All of you know that big international conference the ICOH Congress 2027 is knocking on our door and we all will work hard for that conference and make it a grand success under leadership of ICOH Conference Chairmen and Conference Secretary. I appeal to young leaders to come forward, actively participate and get involved in future endeavours. I will be happy to guide you and help you.
We are maintaining regular communication with other members through our website. This website has been a channel for communication among members.
Young and experienced professionals, lets publish more and more articles in the Indian Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (IJOEM)) which is an official peer-reviewed, open access, flagship publication of the Indian Association of Occupational Health.
Let's work together and make this term outstanding.
